Production stages

  1. The first and rather important stage is considered to be the purchase of raw materials.
    Since the park of our equipment consists entirely of Italian equipment of the Lonati brand, there are certain restrictions on the characteristics of the required raw materials.
    We buy ready-made yarn of a certain color and shade, which necessarily passes the quality control for compliance with internal standards.
    The price of yarn in the Russian market is completely dependent on the exchange rates of the dollar and euro. Thus, it strongly affects the price of finished products even with minimal fluctuations in the currency rates. This dependence has appeared due to the lack of local raw material, cotton. Local manufacturers only process the raw materials received from abroad (Uzbekistan, Turkey, Egypt).
    Since the yarn palette is quite wide, it is impractical to keep the entire range in stocks. But the most popular colors are always available. The delivery time for yarn of the desired color is 2 to 3 weeks. The production process is extended by this amount of time in the absence of yarn of the desired color.
    After the completion of the entrance quality control, the yarn goes to the production lines.
  2. The second stage is considered to be the process of making hosiery.
    It all starts with an idea or mockup of the future product. This mockup is drawn by an in-house designer. Our factory employs two designers. The sketch of the future design is transferred or drawn pixel by pixel in a special program provided by the equipment manufacturer. It is quite a painstaking process when it comes to complex geometry or an image. This process takes from 1 to 3 days. This time also includes the development of a prototype. A prototype is a physical unit of a product and is intended to be approved by customer or factory management.
  3. The third stage, production run
    The minimum run in our factory is considered to be 100 pairs of a unique product per size. During a work shift, one piece of equipment can produce up to 120 items, 20 of which go to the so-called rejection or resale to the client in case of minimal or no defects. The production time for the minimum batch is 1 day. But the factory usually takes more based on the current workload. The terms for the minimum run can reach up to 2 weeks with a full factory load, provided that the desired yarn color is available.

  4. Packaging/labels and shipping
    The factory packs each pair of socks into an individual label and an LDPE package of 10 pairs of products. An individual or group label/packaging can be made at your request. The timing and cost are calculated separately based on the complexity of the packaging.
    Also, products can be sent without an individual factory label in LDPE packages of 10 pairs with an identification sticker.
    Delivery of prototypes or finished products is carried out by transport companies at the expense of the client. Delivery is paid by the client upon receipt or based on the invoice issued to us.
